One of the most satisfying feelings is being able to get a french pastry ,like a croissant , perfectly flakey on the outside and soft on the inside . It is definitely one of those recipes where there is no room to add in your own little touch or add in less or extra where you feel like it would make the overall taste even better .
it took me a while to find a great recipie and i came across this one on @tableforfivedubai instagram page .
the link to the recipe : http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/croissants_91574
usually i would go with a chocolate spread on the inside but table for five and their rose icing just made it irresistible to me since it was my favourite colour , pink .
Rose icing:
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
a little boiled water
a drop of rose syrup
mix it all together and spread over freshly baked croisants . i put pistachio over the glaze .
ps- if your feeling a little lazy i came across frozen mini croisants at woolworths that you could pop into the oven , going to give them a try soon .
