Sunday as we all know is fun day and for my family that means braai day. Be it for brunch or supper there is always the smell of braai in our atmosphere. What this means is that you are left the next day with an influx of rolls left over. What to do with them?

It’s easy cheesy!! (kinda like me)

Creamy Cheesy Garlic Roll:

  • Slit 4-5 rolls diagonally and place in anything that goes into the oven.

  • Put a slice of garlic butter on every piece of roll followed by a slice of mozzarella (I didn’t put mozzarella)

  • In a separate container empty a tin of fresh cream.

  • Add to the fresh cream – Salt, pepper, garlic flakes (or 1 tsp fresh garlic), crushed green chillies.

  • Mix thoroughly and pour over the rolls.

  • Sprinkle with as much cheese as you would like.

  • Grill in the oven until sauce bubbles and cheese melts (180 degrees )

  • When the sauce is bubbling, take out from the oven and add a bit more cheese and remove once this cheese melts.

This recipe is very versatile , and so I don’t initially add cheese because I feel like it tends to get hard and I don’t enjoy that , but rather I wait for the sauce to start bubbling an then add the cheese on top. With this I usually make a salad and grilled chicken or hake and these recipes will follow soon.

Have a cheesy Monday!!
